In 1854 the schooner “Dolphin”–out of Santo Domingo, sank off Cuttyhunk, MA with a load of African ebony logs. This pendant is made from a piece of that rare treasure that sank over 160 years ago! Note the earth, moon, stars and ocean imagery and the use of Honduran rosewood, scrap from a violin maker’s shop, as well as recycled copper and brass. Cow’s milk finish. Chain is 2mm silver plated brass, 18” long.
