Created from ebony from the Schooner Dolphin which capsized off Cuttyhunk, MA in December 1854, piano key ebony, Honduras Rosewood from a violin maker’s scraps, Angelique (Surinam) from Martha’s Vineyard shipbuilders’ scrap. Paua abalone, mother-of-pearl, piano string copper, brass, nickel, blackberry phone scrap brass diamond round it out. Sterling silver (USA) ear wire, finish from cow’s milk. The earring body is 1-1/4” long.
