Description
Ebony tuning peg from an antique string instrument made into a key chain. There is a good chance that this item was made in Europe a long time ago, though there’s no way to verify that. It came from musical instrument repair shops where people like me hate to throw something out! Paua abalone, mother-of-pearl, copper from antique piano string windings, brass and nickel. Cow’s milk finish. There is a brass tube that has been tooled, glued and flared into the hole, so that it should hold up to stress.
Handmade with provenance: The card backing lists materials used and explains some of the story. Postage included in price.
