Ebony from the Schooner Dolphin which capsized off of Cuttyhunk, MA in December 1854, Honduras Rosewood from a violin maker’s scraps, Angelique from Surinam and Marthas Vineyard shipbuilders scraps. Paua Abalone, Mother-of-pearl, piano string copper, brass, nickel. Sterling Silver (USA) ear wire, finish from cow’s milk. The card backing lists materials used and explains some of the story. This is a handmade object. Price includes postage. The earring body is 1-1/8” long.

Created from ebony from the Schooner Dolphin which capsized off of Cuttyhunk, MA in December 1854, Antique piano key ebony face, angelique from Surinam and Martha’s Vineyard shipbuilders’ scrap. Paua abalone, mother-of-pearl, piano string copper, brass, nickel. Sterling Silver (USA) ear wire, finish from cow’s milk. The earring body is 1-7/16” long.
