Created from Tahitian black mother of pearl sky, white mother of pearl land, gold mother of pearl sun/moon, paua abalone sea, antique piano string copper, aluminum cow barn roofing, ebony from an 1854 ship capsizing at the island of Cuttyhunk, Massachusetts and purpleheart on the back from a wooden boat caulkers scraps on Martha’s Vineyard. This pendant has a polished finish, buffed/burnished with a thin hard wax surface. It is very rich, deep and complex looking. The “sky” looks like moving cloud fronts out there on a grey day. Deeply luminous. Chain is 18″ Sterling plated brass 2mm snake. It’s hard to depict how luminous this item is – there’s a gallery image as well.
