Schooner Dolphin Earrings (P)


Ebony from the Schooner Dolphin which capsized of off Cuttyhunk Island, MA in December 1854, Purpleheart (Central America) from a retired shipwright’s scraps, holly (white), guitar string ball end, black mother of pearl, paua abalone, mother-of-pearl, copper from antique piano string windings, brass and nickel. Cows milk finish. This handmade item comes with a card that offers some of the story and a list of materials used in it. Earrings have US made sterling silver ear wires.
