Revonoc Shipwreck Earrings (L)


These earrings have live oak on the front from the “Revonoc”, a sailboat built by Harvey Conover (same name spelled forwards!) in 1946. He won major Atlantic races with this Sparkman Stephens design boat and placed in the money in a lot of races. gives you somewhat of an encapsulated tale. Harvey went down on the Revonoc II. This wood came from a shop that was rebuilding the Revonoc on Marthas Vineyard; so did the wood on the back, Angelique from Surinam, from the general scrap pile.
